Sims Professional Engineers is excited to announce two longtime employees, Keith A. Miller and Suzanne L. Babusiak, are the new owners effective September 17, 2020. Over the past year, Sims Professional Engineers has mourned the loss of our founder Roger D. Sims. Roger began Sims Professional Engineers in 1983 and grew our firm to become an industry leader in design, analysis, testing and compliance consulting. With the loss of Roger this past October, our firm continued under his wife, Patricia R. Sims. We are thankful Patricia offered the opportunity to Keith and Suzanne to become the next owners and are committed to continuing to serve the needs of our clients in the rail industry. Keith and Suzanne, along with our employees, look forward to the future of Sims Professional Engineers.
Keith Miller earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and has been with Sims Professional Engineers since July of 1993. He has served as Vice President of Engineering since 2013 and previously held positions of Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager and Chief Engineer. He attained his Professional Engineering License in the State of Indiana in 1998.
Suzanne Babusiak earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and has been with Sims Professional Engineers since June of 1999. She has served as Director of Engineering since 2012 and previously held positions of Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer and Project Manager.
