Sims Professional Engineers is pleased to announce the 25th anniversary of Mr. Keith A. Miller, Vice President of Engineering. Mr. Miller earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University and has been with the company since July of 1993. He has also held positions of Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager and Chief Engineer. He attained his Professional Engineering License in the State of Indiana in 1998.
He achieved his current position of Vice President of Engineering in 2013. He is a core member of the Sims PE team that has provided engineering design, analysis and testing services to the railroad and other industries since 1983.
Mr. Miller has performed structural engineering analyses used to help clients develop new products, upgrade, optimize, or extend the life of their rolling stock in addition to supervising the engineering staff. He holds two (2) patents either personally or jointly on railcar designs or railroad testing devices. He also has authored technical papers for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Keith lives with his family in a personally designed, energy efficient home in Schererville, Indiana.
